SpaceX made breakthrough in reusable rocket boosters, by catching the landing booster directly by huge mechanical arms.
Before SpaceX, other space agencies land their boosters in oceans and send teams to take back the boosters and do all sorts of repairs.
That's why this is considered a huge advancement in field of space technology.
