The word 'biology' is derived from the Greek word 'bios' meaning 'life' and 'logos' meaning 'study'.
Aristotle is known as the father of biology because he studied the natural world in depth and did his every experiment with scientific approach. He related nature to science rather calling everything as a miracle of gods.
